SUMMARY: Rethinking Ecumenism in the Light of Pentecostalism
It has been rather easy to ignore the challenge of Pentecostalism to ecumenism up until recent times. They have been sometimes severe critics, from the moment that Pentecostals are not very interested in mainstream ecumenism like that represented by the WCC, the Faith and Order commission or bilateral dialogues. However, now with the presence of Pentecostals estimated between 200 and 500 million world wide and with some of them who are beginning to show interest in the rest of the Christian family, it is time to take up the challenge.
