ABSTRACT – «My soul is sorrowful even to death» (Mc 14,34). An interpretation of the

Jesus’ prayer in the agony. The tale of the Passion consists of the moment of the pray in the

Gethsemane. In that garden Jesus suffers because he had to face several trials: the desertion

of his disciples and the necessity to drink the cup of suffering. He prays in order to

be relying himself on the Father’s will and to be glorified by Him.
