Description
Summary
Christian faith is oriented to a personal encounter between man and God which includes, even requires, the use of reason. Thanks to reason, man can be defined not only as a religious being, but also as one who, firstly, reflects on himself and the world in relation to that transcendent foundation which drives every thing, and, secondly, as one who is even able to reflect on his own faith. This is possible when reason is able to contemplate the divine Logos which assumed a human face in Jesus Christ. Theology, as the concretizing of thought concerning the existence of God that is exercised in the realm of the Church, plays an important role in guiding the reflectability of faith.
